The app try to determine the car position by continuosly checking your position and by applying a little logic. It shouldnt be as precise as usual Find my car apps, but it gives you the ability of finding your car without telling explicitly that information: just leave the app active and ask for your car position when you need it and dont bother about anything else...
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
